A free space strategy game that starts in one click
Nexas Code 2D is a free real-time space strategy game that runs in a browser tab. You start with one planet and a handful of corvettes, and you finish by being the only empire left in the sector. There is nothing to install and nothing to buy — the whole game is the page.
Play free in your browser No download, no installer, no account needed to start a match.A match, from the top
You open with one world, one drafted doctrine and a few corvettes in orbit. Drag a box around them, right-click the planet next door, and the fleet burns across the lane.
What happens when it arrives is the part most browser games skip. The planet shoots back — orbital defence cannons and rail gun platforms have to be broken before anything lands. Once the guns are down, your ships drop troops, and a real-time ground battle plays out on the surface for the bunker.
Take the world and it becomes yours to specialise: a mine that funds the next fleet, a shipyard that builds it, or a fortress that makes the world too expensive to take back.
Three races, and they do not play the same
The race you draft changes the physics of your guns, not just the colour of your ships.
| Race | Character |
|---|---|
| Terran Empire | The straight answer. Balanced weapon profile and the most legible fleet to learn on. |
| Xeno Hive | Organic doctrine with its own weapon physics and a Titan that does something no other race can. |
| Machine Collective | Machine doctrine, a third weapon profile, and a third Titan with a third trick. |
What it costs
Free. No purchase, no subscription, and no account required to start a match.
There is no premium currency, no energy timer, no loot box and no paywall in front of a ship class. Cosmetic skins and achievements persist between matches; empire power does not, so nobody can buy their way into a better fleet than yours.
Galaxy to ground, one continuous zoom
Scroll out and you are reading a galaxy map. Scroll in and it unfolds into a single star system. Keep going and you are standing on the planet, watching a real-time ground battle for the bunker. No loading screens between the three.
A 4X match that fits in a coffee break
You take your first world in under a minute. The research ladder, doctrine drafting and planet specialisation are all there — they just resolve in the time a grand-strategy game spends on its tutorial.
Up to 30 commanders on one map
Solo matches run at 4, 8, 16 or 30 commanders against bots. Multiplayer is a live 30-player free-for-all with private lobbies if you would rather bring your own.
Runs in the tab you already have open
No installer, no launcher, no account required to play. It is a WebGL build that starts on a laptop, a Chromebook or a phone held sideways.
